Recently, the Fangxia Tunnel, part of the north extension of Changyang Street, opened to traffic.
The north extension of Changyang Street is the final phase of efforts to improve traffic capacity across Loujiang River, and also serves as a key section for traffic across Loujiang River in the eastern part of Weiting Sub-district.
Once completed, the project is expected to effectively divert traffic pressure from the Middle Ring east line, playing a significant role in enhancing SIP’s road network, improving local residents’ commutes, and boosting socio-economic development in the eastern part of Weiting Sub-district.
The opening of Fangxia Tunnel to traffic has not only laid a good foundation for follow-up work including the renovation of Gexiang Street, but also sounded the bugle for the full completion of the north extension of Changyang Street.
