Recently, the Kuangtang Farm Produce Market in SIP’s Weiting Sub-district was declared one of the “Best-loved Farm Produce Markets in 2024” at the 2024 annual conference of the country’s farm produce markets industry, while the Hongqiao Farm Produce Market in the same sub-district was declared one of the “Typical Exemplary Farm Produce Markets in 2024”.
The markets won the honors for their innovative management modes, outstanding customer services and excellent performance in digital operations.
The Kuangtang Farm Produce Market was upgraded in 2019. It boasts a well-designed layout, an integrated food safety supervision system, and quick response to problems. The market adopts a customer-oriented operation strategy, and often holds various sales promotions to bring substantial benefits to customers.
The Hongqiao Farm Produce Market was reopened in August after renovation. The renovation has allowed it to have a better environment and well-equipped facilities for ventilation, fire prevention, evacuation, safety monitoring and environmental management as well as more stalls to better meet customers’ demand.
Notably, the “Happy Rainbow” Neighborhood Service Circle was formed, and the “Happy Partnership” program was launched after the renovation. Under the program, a number of communities, schools and resident service centers near the market join hands to provide legal advice and other services for nearby businesses, residents, outdoor workers and other groups.
