ZEISS, a world-leading tech company which has a balanced portfolio geared toward attractive future-oriented markets in optics, precision mechanics and optoelectronics, celebrated the first anniversary of the founding of its Suzhou R&D and manufacturing base in SIP on Sept 5.
ZEISS started its operations in SIP in 2006, and since then has stepped up its efforts to localize its production and R&D. In 2022, it broke ground on the R&D and manufacturing base in SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone.
The base, which came into operation last year, is dedicated to developing and manufacturing a variety of microscopes and measuring instruments. It is helping improve ZEISS’ R&D capability and productivity in China and reinforce its global R&D, manufacturing and supply chains.
At the celebration, three locally manufactured ZEISS microscopes, namely LSM910, Sigma 360 and GeminiSEM 360 were unveiled, marking that ZEISS has become the first international company to have realized local production and delivery of products of such kinds in China.
