Shen Mi, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, led a survey tour to Suzhou Chinese Consortium Holding Co Ltd (also known as Chinese Consortium) on Oct 30, learning about the company’s operations and motivating it to strive for higher-level development.
Chinese Consortium was founded by 14 state-owned Chinese enterprises in 1996 to make investment in SIP. It is the first state-owned professional investment company with a diversified equity portfolio in SIP. The company has helped about 40 enterprises go public.
At the meeting with the company’s executives, Shen and his contingent learned details about the company’s efforts to promote its development, its business structure, and its investment in energy and sci-tech innovation projects.
The company was expected to help propel green and low-carbon development of SIP and even the surrounding areas based on its expertise and platforms, upgrade its investment capacity to support more exemplary projects, and improve its internal management to achieve stronger development.
