SIP Market Supervision Bureau has employed a smart training system to strengthen food safety guarantee in schools. The system combines immersive VR scenario training for inspectors with bite-sized video courses for canteen staff.
Using highly realistic virtual replicas of school kitchens, the VR module incorporates over 40 common risk scenarios, allowing inspectors to practice hazard identification and enforcement procedures.

Considering the high staff turnover and varied educational backgrounds among canteen workers, the bureau has developed eight concise training videos covering essential topics such as hygiene management, ingredient inspection and food sampling, translating complex regulations into easy-to-follow, practical guides.

After successful pilot application in several schools, the clips have been refined based on feedback. This year, the bureau aims to fully roll out this training system among all inspectors and school canteen employees.
