A delegation from the Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu) in SIP visited Shihezi University in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region recently, aiming to leverage its expertise and experience to help the university commercialize its technology research outcomes.
The delegation attended the symposium with the school’s executives and research teams, and exchanged opinions with them concerning cooperation potential. The delegation members also visited the schools’ labs, research platforms and affiliated hospital for a field survey on its research capability, strength and achievements.
Based on that, the two parties reached multiple points of consensus, including jointly establishing a regular contact mechanism, promoting the implementation of projects focusing on key areas such as the development of Xinjiang’s distinctive biomedicine resources and the transformation of technologies for prevention and treatment of diseases with high incidence in Central Asia, and establishing a mechanism for mutual visits and exchanges of talent.
