The fifth session of the 17th Suzhou People’s Congress opened on Jan 22, bringing together delegations from around Suzhou to brainstorm for high-level development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). The delegation from SIP, led by Shen Mi, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of the CPC SIP Working Committee, participated.
Xing Hongxia, senior supplier quality management engineer at Aptiv Electronics (Suzhou) Co Ltd, said she and her team had been surveying issues concerning people’s well-being over the past one year, covering public transport, education, medical care and urban construction.
Wu Yexian, deputy general manager of Hipcom MicroTech, brought suggestions on improving utilization efficiency of state-owned facilities.
Other delegation members participated with suggestions on supply of high-quality direct drinking water, protection of Suzhou’s old town, talent cultivation by enterprises and other issues.
