A project roadshow was held at Biosparc, SIP on Nov 11, setting a bridge between nine cutting-edge medical technology projects from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong and SIP-based investment organizations and medical institutions.

Actually, the collaboration between SIP and Hong Kong’s technology innovation sector has already transcended simple project partnerships, with a comprehensive, multi-dimensional innovation ecosystem rapidly taking shape.

Not long ago, the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) launched in SIP an initiative to join hands with local enterprises to create an ecosystem for scientific and technological innovation.

Last month, Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI) held an event in Nanopolis Suzhou in SIP to showcase its breakthroughs in electronic materials, battery technology and low-carbon building materials. At the event, NAMI signed MOUs with GCL and Suzhou Bond to jointly advance R&D and application of low-carbon building materials and battery materials. NAMI also plans to set up a representative office in SIP by the end of this year.

The Suzhou Industrial Park International Business Cooperation Centre (Hong Kong), established in 2021, had helped 265 projects from SIP in registration for investment in Hong Kong by October. Its new office in Sun Hung Kai Centre in Hong Kong is expected to come into operation soon.

Moreover, the Suzhou-Hong Kong Joint Innovation Center, formed by Jinji Lake in January, has provided great help for a number of sci-tech innovation projects from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
