Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in SIP kicked off a photography exhibition themed “Moments of XJTLU” on Sept 10 to celebrate the Chinese Teachers’ Day that fell on the day.
The exhibition highlights about 100 photos selected from hundreds of entries from the school’s faculty members and students. These photos are also displayed at the Shidaiguangchang and Rei’ailu stations of Suzhou Metro from Sept 9 to 14.
“When choosing the exhibits, we looked for three things: authenticity, straightforwardness and resonance. All these photos were captured in spontaneous moments of daily life,” said Zhang Xiaojun, chief human resources officer at the school.
One of the exhibits is a picture of a set of Australian elements such as koala, python, crocodile, cactus and rugby ball outside the office of an Australian teacher at the XJTLU International Business School Suzhou, indicating how interesting the teacher is.
Another photo, from a third-year student, records a moment of the XJTLU Choir waiting backstage for a performance at the 2025 orientation ceremony.
