SIP has seen thriving cleanup activities since it designated the first Saturday of every month as “SIP Cleanup Day” in July.
The SIP Cleanup Day is designed to join the efforts of local officials, community workers, residents and businesses to tackle waste and maintain a good environment.
The cleanup campaign has received positive response from 167 communities across SIP. People volunteer to check the stairways of their buildings and public spaces in their communities and help keep them tidy and clean.
Statistics show that since July, more than 500 people from administrative offices and over 6,000 residents have participated in 600-plus volunteer patrols, cleaning thousands of spots, dealing with over 500 cars and more than 2,500 electric bikes violating parking rules, and removing advertising pasters from over 3,000 places.
