The SIP leg of Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites has become an important platform for attracting and introducing talents and projects into SIP. More than 10,000 elites from around the globe participated in the 16 previous sessions, and 2,269 projects and 554 leading talents were introduced into SIP through the events.
At the opening ceremony of the 17th edition of the event, a research report on development of IC professionals in China was released. The report, jointly compiled by the China Integrated Circuit Innovation Alliance and China Integrated Circuit, provides an in-depth analysis of the current talent development in the integrated circuit industry and insights on talent supply and demand balancing in this sector. According to the report, SIP ranks fourth among China’s major industrial parks in terms of competitiveness in talent.
Moreover, as a district newly designated by the government of Jiangsu province to build a specialized cluster of talents engaged in new nano materials, SIP unveiled the plan for the development of the cluster, specifying the goals of attracting talents and supporting their projects over the following few years.
Apart from that, 10 winning projects in an earlier roadshow under the three-year action plan that SIP launched in March to support young people to make innovations and launch their own businesses received financial support.
